About this Event

Sharing ideas through the power of music. An online, immersive experience like no other.

Music is a universal language. It brings us closer to each other – across time, across cultures, across moments. Music unites us. In 2020, we need it more than ever.

Unfortunately during the pandemic many artists and entertainers from across the world, lost their main source of income as live venues shut down and concerts were cancelled.

TEDxMelbourne and our community appreciate the power of music and connection. We want to support and celebrate music artists by not only providing a platform for them to perform, but to also delve behind the music to uncover the ideas that inspire their work, talk about their creative process and discuss the importance of a strong and resilient arts industry in Australia and across the globe.

This is not just another online music gig – this is about ideas and inspiration – about the power of messages through music – about tapping into the current issues we face as a community and how we can come together, build our collective resilience and share ideas that inspire positive change. This is music from a unique TEDxMelbourne perspective.

Join us for this very special event as we showcase four diverse artists who are all delivering important messages to audiences in their own unique way.

Are you an artist? Get a discounted ticket and join our TEDxMelbourne Artist Community!

We're offering artists (of all forms) in our community the opportunity to join our event at a discounted price, and submit their work/ profile for the opportunity to be featured on the TEDxMelbourne website. ‘Art’ is classified as “the creation of visual, auditory or performing artefacts, which express the creator's imagination, conceptual ideas, or technical skill, intended to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power” - this may include but is not limited to, visual art (painting, sculpture etc), music and dance.

To be eligible for an 'Artist Pass' ticket, you will need to complete some simple questions in the order process about yourself and your art form. Once you've purchased your ticket, you will receive an email with a link to a short form where you can submit more information about yourself, upload pictures and share links to your work, for the opportunity to be featured on our website.

Please note -  this is a limited time opportunity and while we’d love to have as many artists featured on our website prior to the “United” event as possible, we cannot guarantee your spot if you make your submission after Thursday 3rd December. So don’t hesitate! Grab your ticket and complete the content submission form today!
